Eligibility Criteria
- While the monthly total household income in urban areas should not exceed Rs12,000, it should not exceed Rs.10,000 in rural areas.
- At least one member of every family should possess a valid rice card.
- The family should own less than 10 acres of dry land, fewer than three acres of wetland or less than ten acres of total landholding.
- Households with four-wheelers, except automobiles, tractors, and taxis, are not eligible.
- During the past 12 months, the home should have consumed less than 300 units of electricity per month on average.
- Households that possess any municipal property that is 1000 square feet or greater are not eligible.
- Household members who work for the central government, state governments, public sector units (PSUs) or get government pensions are not included in this.
- However, low-wage government workers and sanitation workers who earn less than Rs.10,000 (in rural regions) or Rs.12,000 (in urban areas) per month are not included.
- Families with any income-tax-paying members will not be permitted to take part.
- The receiver must have a record in the state household database. If the child is named but the benefactor is not, eligibility will be determined through field verification.
- Students should be enrolled in government, private aided, private unaided, or junior college-approved by the Andhra Pradesh government in Classes I through XII. Students enrolled in fee-waived programs such as ITI, Polytechnic, IIIT (RGUKT) or similar programs are not eligible.
- The student must have at least 75% attendance in the current academic year in order to be eligible for assistance the following year.
Disbursement Process
- The GSW’s Welfare Department and Finance Department will collaborate to give the disbursement fund after the students’ eligibility has been verified.
- The required NPCI/DBT codes for the transparent distribution of money must be created by APCFSS.
- Financial aid up to the amount of the fee set by the government in accordance with standards will be given to Private Management Schools on behalf of the mothers/guardians whose children are enrolled in Private Unaided Recognized Schools under 12(1)(C) of the RTE Act, 2009, via the State Project Director, Samagra Shiksha.
Payment Mode
- A bank or post office account linked to Aadhaar must be owned by each student’s mother or guardian.
